Privacy Policy

This policy explains what the Earth Online public website and app may process, why it is processed, how it is protected, and the choices available to you. Before production release, the responsible entity, contact channel, third-party list, and deployment configuration must match this page.

1. Scope

This policy applies to the Earth Online public website and the product reached from it. The website and signed-in app are separate applications: the website does not read private goals, tasks, trails, or AI conversations. Third-party services use their own policies.

2. Information we may process

The website may process basic logs needed for security and availability, such as request time, page, device and browser type, coarse network information, and errors. Additional analytics will be enabled only after privacy and consent review.

The app may process account identifiers, goals and tasks you create, completion records, trails, preferences, and the relevant context you explicitly send when using an AI feature. The exact scope depends on enabled features and deployment.

3. Purposes

Information is used to provide and maintain the product, save content you explicitly create, complete AI requests you start, protect accounts and services, diagnose faults, and—when there is an appropriate basis—understand aggregate website and product usage. Visiting the website does not publish a private goal.

4. AI and third-party services

When you explicitly use an AI feature, limited context needed for that request may be sent to the configured model provider. Earth Online should minimize that context and does not treat model output as medical, legal, financial, or other professional advice. Authentication, hosting, email, model, and analytics providers enter the production third-party list only when actually enabled.

5. Storage and security

The product currently follows a local-first boundary, so some goals, tasks, and trails may be stored on your device first. Account, paid AI credit, or future sync capabilities may use remote services. Retention should match product delivery, safety, and legal obligations. No system can promise absolute security; access control, least privilege, transport protection, and log redaction are used to reduce risk.

6. Your choices and rights

Within the product's available controls, you may view, edit, undo completion, delete content, change preferences, or manage an account. Requests to access, correct, delete, withdraw consent, or complain under applicable law should use the official contact channel published in the app. Identity verification may be required.

7. Children

Earth Online is not designed specifically for children. Use involving children or sensitive personal information should be considered carefully by a guardian under local law. Age gates and guardian rules must be finalized for each production market.

8. Policy changes

When data handling changes materially, this page date will be updated and additional notice will be provided when required. Production operations should retain prior versions and explanations of major changes.
